There should be a great deal of excitement and anticipation about the coming term at Trewirgie Junior School as the teachers here have worked so hard and spent so long preparing some fabulous learning opportunities for their children over the Christmas period. There have been some changes to the classrooms already. These changes have been made because the learning environment plays an important part in developing children’s interests, excitement, connection and commitment to their tasks. Most importantly it helps the children become immersed in their learning and of course it’s good fun!
The school have been supported by the local community in this and the school would like to express a special thanks to Marks & Spencer’s in Truro, Next in Hayle who have both kindly donated items and Richard Belshaw (local landscaper) who has helped design and build some of the areas in classrooms.
